Upgrading to Gen III LSThe early GM MAP sensor (top) has a provision for being mounted just about anywhere it fits. All that is required is a vacuum hose from the intake manifold plenum to the sensor. This sensor is found on 1991–1992 TPI engines and 1992–1997 LT1 engines. The LS1/LS6/LS2 MAP sensor (bottom left) is sealed to the intake manifold with a rubber seal.
