LeanBurn Conversion or Thrash those Points!In most cases, you can find the the 12 volt Run wire within the lean burn connector (Pin 2 in my diagram, 14 guage dark blue wire). And, utilize the starter relay. The starter relay has a terminal for Ballast Resistor (12 volt start, brown--not be confused with the other brown wire that goes to the starter solenoid.)

Dave's Place Corroded wiring connectors and solder joints will reduce voltage to the ignition circuitry resulting in hard starting and phantom problems. In the wiring harness drawing above, take note of the location of the Major Solder Junction reference as it is the main distribution point for ignition and charging circuitry.

Know what I know now, I could have used a stock distributor and wiring from a junkyard non-Lean Burn car but that is harder to do now.
